Veronica Coates is the Assistant Superintendent for Tehama County SELPA in rural Northern California. Prior to being a SELPA Administrator, she held other leadership positions in special education. She currently serves as the Executive Director for the Pathways to Partnership, Special Education Resource Lead (SERL) project. Her origin in education is as a school psychologist. She believes strongly in preserving relationships between LEAs and Families to ensure the common goal of servicing students is always the primary focus in this work. Veronica worked to secure 550 million dollars in the California Budget to fund Dispute Prevention and Learning Recovery efforts due to the impacts of the pandemic for Students with Disabilities. She was a strong supporter and advocate for the creation of a statewide lead for ADR to build the California Continuum for dispute prevention and resolution in special education and seeing this come to fruition is truly a dream come true, professionally. Locally, she led her SELPA in creating a continuum of ADR, specifically in hiring one of the first neutral directors of ADR for a SELPA in the state of California. She is a member of the Executive Committee for the SELPA Administrators of California and a member of the board of the California Mental Health Advocates for Children and Youth (CMHACY). She has graduated from the Straus Institute, Pepperdine School of Law's Mediating the Litigated Case (MLC) program. Veronica's passion outside of work is family, her husband Jesse and their son Holden. Veronica and Jesse spend the majority of their time watching Holden engage in his passion for sports on the basketball court and swim deck.
Aubrie Fulk is the Director of Student, Family, and District Support for the Tehama County Department of Education and Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA). She oversees the SELPA’s model school based mental health program for students with disabilities. She supported the Alternative Dispute Resolution and Prevention processes and created a continuum of supports for families and districts in Tehama County. Aubrie is part of the Statewide System of Support as a member of the Special Education Resource Lead (SERL) in Alternative Dispute Resolution. The Pathways to Partnership consortium includes Tehama and Ventura County SELPA, Tehama County Department of Education and Ventura County Office of Education. Pathways to Partnership has established and experienced leadership in designing model programs in Dispute Prevention and Resolution. Aubrie has graduated from the Straus Institute for Dispute Prevention, Pepperdine University, School of Law. Aubrie obtained her Master of Science in School Psychology and Administrative Services Credential from National University. She loves living in beautiful Northern California and enjoying all it has to offer. Her origin in education was as a school psychologist for preschool students and an early start intervention specialist for infants with disabilities.
Stacy Alvey is the Director of Family and School Collaboration for the Ventura County Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA). She oversees the SELPA’s Dispute Prevention & Resolution program, developing a continuum of supports for families and districts in Ventura County. Stacy is part of the Statewide System of Support as a member of the Special Education Resource Lead (SERL) in Alternative Dispute Resolution. Pathways to Partnership consortium includes Ventura and Tehama County SELPAs, Ventura County Office of Education and Tehama County Department of Education. Pathways to Partnership has established and experienced leadership in designing model programs in Dispute Prevention and Resolution. Stacy is a licensed clinical social worker and credentialed school psychologist.
Joanna Della Gatta is the Executive Director for the Ventura County Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA). In collaboration with the member districts within Ventura County SELPA, she oversees and coordinates the delivery, administration and coordination of special education services, while managing the SELPA’s programs, services, and activities. She has served within the Ventura County SELPA since 2014, supporting schools, districts, families, and staff in the areas of Transition to Adult Life, IEP Compliance Monitoring, Data Coordination and the SIRAS special education data system. Joanna has a passion for supporting students in college and career readiness and is currently serving as the State Workability Advisory Chair. Her teaching career began in 2001, teaching students with disabilities.
